(JAN 22) The weigh-ins were held today at Isleta Casino & Resort
for the Friday, January 23, 2009, “French Connection” and the
weight results are included:
The main event will feature 10-rounds of action packed
excitement on Friday, January 23, 2009, for the WIBA
welterweight title, featuring Holly Holm (22-1-3, 6 KOs),
(Weight 145.5) VS Myriam Lamare (16-2, 9 KOs), (Weight 144.5).
The semi-main event will be one that
you will NOT want to overlook. It will feature an 8-round, Jr.
Middleweight, toe-to-toe encounter between Joe Gomez (15-1-1, 7
KOs) (Weight 155.75) VS Jose Luis Cruz (12-14, 4 KOs)(Weight
158.5).
The undercard will
include three 4-round bouts consisting of motivated and
determined fighters who will give it their all in the ring.
4 rds Jr. Featherweight: Randy Arrellin (0-0), (Weight 122.5) VS
Raymond “Hollywood” Montes (0-0) (Weight 119.25).
4 rds welterweight: Josh “Pittbull” Torres (2-1, 1 KO)(Weight
