Twenty one year old pugilist Angelica Chavez is scheduled to
make her professional boxing debut next Friday on Fresquez
Productions Inc. June 5 card “Bombshells” at the Isleta Casino
Resort.
LF: What kind of preparations did you make for your debut to
professional boxing?

AC: I have sparred near 100 rounds with
various training partners such as Dominic Sanchez, Eric Sanchez,
Alexis August. I’ve been running 6 miles everyday as well as two
training sessions a day.
LF: How long have you been fighting competitively for and what
was your record as an amateur?
AC: I have been fighting competitively since 2nd grade and have
a combined kickboxing and boxing record of 14-0 10 Kos.
LF: Do you have any goals or aspirations for your boxing career?
AC: I would like to get to the level Holly Holm is at, but
really I just like to fight.
LF: Are you currently working a day job aside from your fighting
career?
AC: Yes, I manage bridge st. barbershop and work by appointment,
and am going to school for my fire science degree.
LF: Ok thank you for your time Angelica is there anything you
would like to say to your opponent?
AC: No but I am expecting a fun fight.
Melchor Chavez: “We will win this fight”, “I guarantee it will
be the toughest fight of Gloria’s career”!
