Heavy Handed Proa to face Guillen on “Bad Blood” undercard
Albuquerque knockout artist David Proa 6-0, 6 KO’s steps back into the ring for the first time since flattening Sergio Savadrar at 1:12 of the 2nd round in June against Robert Guillen 4-4-3 of Glendale, AZ. Proa, the 23 year old bantamweight has been fighting since the age of 8 under trainer Tony Sigala. At 8 years old Proa knocked out his first opponent in the first round.

As an amateur David had a combined record of 40-2, 35 KO’s and holds the fastest knockout in a Junior Olympic tournament. As a professional Proa has been plowing through the competition with 6 wins, all by knockout, with only one opponent making it out of the first round.

On David’s first round knockout over Beto Perez on May 10, 2008, Newmexicoboxing.com’s Chris Cozzone wrote “he unleashed a left hook right out of the pages of a comic book. The powerhouse punch not only floored Perez, but lifted his legs out from under him at a near-horizontal angle, before crashing him down to the canvas where he was counted out.”
