The
November issue of
The Ring
magazine, on sale through October 31,
features Ann Sophie Mathis, who challenges Holly "The
Preacher's Daughter" Holm, December 2 on "World
Dominance," presented by Fresquez Productions, at Route
66 Casino Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In "The Sweet Science" column (pages 104-105), writer
Chris Richards featured "Knockout Artist Anne Sophie
Mathis:"
Rather than continue
to rack up knockouts in Europe, she is looking to mix it
up with one of the finest female fighters in the world.
On Dec. 2, she (Mathis) is scheduled to face Hoilly Holm
in a fight that actually comes very close to deserving
its grandoise billing as "World Dominance.".....Stopping
the talented, athletic, and polished Holm is a tall
order, but Mathis is determined to do it......Mathis
may lack Holly Holm's homegrown appeal to Middle
America. Not speaking English gives her a disadvantage
Cecelia Braekus doesn't have to face. But Anne Sophie
brings the big punch to the table, and knockout artists
speak boxing's international language. There is no
better way to communicate with fans.
Holm and Fresquez were recently interviewed for an
upcoming feature on Holly for
The Ring.
