(FEB 17) On
today's pro boxing landscape, the only thing rarer than an
exciting white heavyweight or a British fighter who doesn't
bleed is a truly unified world title. With as many as 68
so-called "world champions" in the four men's sanctioning
organizations and almost as many in the women's ranks (though
many female titles are vacant for lack of fighters and
interest), the sport has become saturated with paper
titleholders. And the pretenders

Press Release |

|
First, I would
like to thank all the fans that have supported women's boxing.
It is very different from men's boxing. If you told me 10 years
ago that a female would be the star of my stable, I would have
said you were crazy. In a recent press release, Mary
Jo Sanders’ team claimed they had offered Holly Holm a fight. It
is just a flat out LIE! I have never spoken to anyone from the
Sanders’ camp. We would have no problem fighting Sanders. They
have done a good job on promoting her and putting her with the
right opponents. We would welcome a fight with her, if the price
is right. Full Story

for the WBC USA TITLE in the Jr. Welterweight division.
But moments ago Fresquez Productions

trip for the fight due to a sore ankle. It is very
disappointing for Madrid to pull out at this time,
stated Promoter Lenny Fresquez, after all he is the one
that called out Hector and sometimes you need to be
careful what you ask for. In this case I think Madrid
has cold feet in stead of a sore foot. So we will press

Welterweight Champion. He defeated Vicente Garcia in
May of 2005 for the title. Not only did he obtain the title, he
revealed that if you want to have a chance at beating him, don’t
knock him down. He got knocked down twice and got up even more
on fire. For Gomez it wasn’t about hitting the floor, it’s that
he got pushed to the limit and turned it around on his opponent.
In that particular fight Gomez was the underdog against the
highly regarded Garcia. Gomez has the drive and determination to
someday become a World Champion, but he understands that he
needs to take care of business in his own state first. That is
exactly what he is going to do!! Don’t miss him on February 24,

December 28, 2005 |
It was like an *NSYNC
concert. When boxer Holly Holm made her way to the ring before her fight
against Mia St. John earlier this month at Isleta Casino & Resort, the
crowd went nuts— screaming, cheering and jumping. Fight fans
stayed on their feet, only taking breaks from cheering to boo St. John.
And that was just the weigh-in. That's when it hit Holm. She's a star in
her hometown.
