Becerra a native of Albuquerque, NM
moved to El Paso, TX at a young where he was raised and learned
the trade of boxing. He was an amateur standout with impressive
amateur wins over the likes of 2000 Olympic bronze Medalist
Clarence Vinson. As a pro Becerra has been in National rankings
for a few years now and has recently worked his way up to the
top ten (WBA 10
Superflyweight). Look for a possible world title shot in 2006.
