ONE ON ONE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH HOLLY HOLM

(JUNE 5) Fresquezproductions.com had an opportunity to chat with  Women's IBA World Champion Holly Holm about her upcoming bout with Lisa Holewyne.

FP.com: Today we are interviewing Women's IBA Light
Welterweight World Champion Holly Holm, how are you doing Holly?

HH: I'm doing good.

FP.com: What do you know about on your upcoming opponent Lisa Holewyne?

HH: Well she's a bigger opponent, she is probably walking around a lot heavier than I am right now. Her footwork and her punches may not be as fast but she is very strong and she is going to be a good opponent for me.

FP.com: Who have you been sparring with to prepare for this bout?

HH: Well there is a lot people we spar with here, we have some of the UFC fighters that come in here, and they are a lot bigger so i'm used to having to muscle around more weight, I have also been sparring with Victoria Cisneros she is in our weight class and has
fought Lisa Holewyne before.

FP.com: What have you been doing to prepare for your move up in weight?

HH: I've just been eating a lot and drinking a lot of proteins and stuff, I don't really want to put on bad weight so just working out nothing really different.

FP.com: How high do you plan on moving up in weight through out your career?

HH: I don't really want to move up in weight too much unless it makes sense money wise (laughs), it depends on the fight and the time.

FP.com: Who has been your toughest opponent to date?

HH: There has been a lot of tough opponents, uh..

FP.com: Is there any one opponent that hit you really hard and made you remember them

HH: Christy Martin was probably the toughest for me mentally, just because it was a pretty big step for me in my career mentally but I trained really hard for that fight, but physically I guess Angel Martinez from a long time ago, she gave me a good fight because it was active, but that was also before I got better at my skills so its hard to say.

FP.com: Is there anyone out there that you would like to fight?

HH: I just like to take it one fight at a time.

FP.com: Any predictions for your bout this weekend with Lisa Holewyne?

HH: I plan on going all rounds, I know she is tough, but um I plan on being the one who is in better shape.

FP.com: Is there anyone you would like to thank?

HH: Too many people to thank, there's all my friends and family of course, there's my trainer Mr. Winkeljohn and Lenny of course for promoting me.

FP.com: Okay thank you for your time.

HH: Thanks, no problem.

Holly Holm will be facing Lisa Holewyne on June 10, 2006 at the Isleta Casino and Resort. Tickets are available @ the Isleta's Players' Club Box Office at 505-244-8191 or 8192.
