Fresquez Productions Inc. is happy to announce the final line up
for Sunday's card at Sandia Casino. In what’s expected to be
Fresquez best card of the year, fans will get a chance to meet
and get autographs from former World Champion and ring legend
ROBERTO DURAN (Manos de Piedra), who will be signing autographs
from 5 to 6 on Sunday. Doors opening at 5:00 and the first bout
will begin at 6:00 PM. This year’s first card at San Felipe
Casino left no doubt about what Fresquez was to bring in 2004.
They came back and brought you
one of New Mexico's biggest upsets in New Mexico history when
Fresquez Productions Inc. fighter defeated five time World Champ
Johnny Tapia in his home town of Las Vegas N.M, which was one of
the most electrifying fights yet, all 5000 fans in attendance
roaring through ten rounds in a sold out arena. Fresquez also
brought you another barn burner in March when Lee Montoya upset
Max Heyman to take home the NM Middleweight Title. Now Fresquez
is proud to present JUDGMENT DAY.
On Sunday, June 27th in the
State's first 115lb WBC Youth World Title bout between two
Albuquerque natives, Alex (El Diablo) Becerra 15-2 (7) KO's now
fighting out of El Paso, takes on the undefeated David (Finito)
Martinez 10-0 (3) KO's now fighting out of Stockton, California.
Both fighters have fought most of their fights here in NM.
This is a fight the public has
been waiting for and is one of the most anticipated fights
boxing fans have wanted to see. No smack talking from these two
classy guy's who want to prove who is the best 115lb's in the
World. In the Semi-Main event another barn burner when local
rising star (Hurricane) Hector Munoz 7-0 (5 ) KO's takes a giant
step up in class when he takes on New Mexico State Champ
Bernardo Guereca 11-3 ( 2) KO's also from El Paso.
Guereca has
proven he is the force to be reckoned with at 147lb. Munoz
should be given a lot of credit taking on such a proven warrior.
Also on the card is the always entertaining undefeated Holly (Hottie)
Holmes taking on Rita Turrisi in a six round special attraction.
And to start off the night we have Heavy weight action between
two undefeated fighters Keith Jardine fighting out of Winkle
John's Gym taking on Denver’s Augustine Sanchez in a four round
fight.
Also the always entertaining
Jeremiah (The Jet) Torres takes on Omar Candelaria in a four
round fight. Weigh-ins are Saturday the 26th at Sandia Casino
