Don Chargin bring boxing back to Las Vegas, New Mexico. In the
last showing of boxing in Las Vegas Frankie Archuleta (23-4
13KO) successfully defeated 5 time world champion Johnny Tapia.
The sold out crowd was treated to an outstanding card of boxing
that was televised nationally on the Telefutura network.
Saturday August 20th Las Vegas will have the boxing buzz again.
Frankie Archuleta returns in grand fashion to face off against
the WBC super Bantamweight champion Oscar Larios 47-4-1 (34 KO).
Both fighters are coming of impressive wins on the Telefutura
network and will meet in Las Vegas to prove who the best in the
super Bantamweight Division is.
A native of Las
Vegas, Frankie will try to upset the World Champion in his
hometown. In the semi-main event Cuauhtémoc “The Aztec Warrior”
Vargas (12-0 9KO) will face off against Mike Trejo (27-4 17 KO).
Vargas recently fought in Tucson and beat previously undefeated
Eric Rodriguez. Expect to hear more from this young Mexican
contender.
The undercard will feature three other great bouts.
The event will be held at the Highlands university gym. The
matches will also be televised worldwide by Telefutura. Tickets
can be bought at all ticket master outlets, the Las Vegas
Chamber of Commerce, and Too Dee’s Lounge. Tickets start at $20.

Guereca has
proven he is the force to be reckoned with at 147lb. Munoz
should be given a lot of credit taking on such a proven warrior.
Also on the card is the always entertaining undefeated Holly (Hottie)
Holmes taking on Rita Turrisi in a six round special attraction.
And to start off the night we have Heavy weight action between
two undefeated fighters Keith Jardine fighting out of Winkle
John's Gym taking on Denver’s Augustine Sanchez in a four round
fight.
Also the always entertaining
Jeremiah (The Jet) Torres takes on Omar Candelaria in a four
round fight. Weigh-ins are Saturday the 26th at Sandia Casino
Lounge @ 2 PM and are open to the public. For more information
