Holm takes on Hallback

Fresquez Productions officially
announced Chevelle Hallback (25-4-1, 11 KOs) of
Tampa, Fla. as the next opponent for undisputed welterweight
champion Holly Holm (17-1-2, 5 KOs) on
Wednesday night, May 23, in the main event of an ESPN2-televised
card at Tingley Coliseum. Holm will fight for the IFBA jr.
welter belt against Hallback, who, optimally a 130-pounder,
holds the WIBA super featherweight title.
The card,
co-promoted by Prize Fight Boxing, will co-feature former champ
Bones Adams (42-6-4, 19 KOs) vs. undefeated Leon Bobo (16-0, 2
KOs). Five local match-ups are slated for the undercard:
"Hurricane" Hector Munoz (17-1, 11 KOs) will fight El Paso's
Miguel Torrecillas (16-5-1, 7 KOs); David "Finito" Martinez
(17-2-1, 3 KOs) vs. TBA; Matthew Esquibel (5-0, 3 KOs) vs. TBA;
Willie Villanueva (5-0, 1 KO) vs. TBA; and former brother-in-law
to Danny Romero, Daniel Gonzales (2-0, 2 KOs) vs. El Paso's
Sergio Santana (0-1). |
